The Redditch Ghost Walk

History, Folklore and Haunted Places from the Old Town to the Kingfisher Centre.

Every town has a story it doesn't always tell out loud.

The Redditch Ghost Walk follows the route of the Redditch Ghost Walk itself — through the old town and down into the streets buried beneath the Kingfisher Centre — pairing the documented history of each location with the ghost stories, folklore and eyewitness accounts that have grown up around it.

It's written as both a local history book and a ghost book: what's documented is treated as documented, what's folklore, memory or personal experience is treated as exactly that. Nothing is exaggerated or invented — and where the evidence runs thin, the book says so.

From Church Green East to the lost shops of Evesham Walk, from the Sportsman to Bates Hill Methodist Church, it's a journey through Redditch's visible and buried past, written for anyone who has walked these streets, attended the Ghost Walk, or simply wants to know what's really beneath the town centre they think they know.

Available now on Amazon in Kindle and paperback.

History first, ghosts second, stories always

The book grew directly out of years of research for Ghost Tales by the Fireside and the Redditch Ghost Walk itself — not a catalogue of haunted places, but a walk through Redditch's past, one stop at a time.

Come for the ghost stories. Stay for the history that made them.
